Drake Unveils 'FOMO' Film, Confirms Major 2027 Tour

Canadian rapper Drake has unveiled his latest project, “Fear of Missing Out” (FOMO), a “not so short film” that offers an intimate look into his luxurious lifestyle and features new music collaborations. The project, which premiered on Tuesday night, also came with the announcement of a 2027 tour.

Described by Drake as “self funded surrealism” and “a story about making the absolute most of it all in one summer,” the film was initially subject to delays on its livestream, leading to eager anticipation online, as reported by Rolling Stone.

Inside Drake’s “Fear of Missing Out” Film

The “FOMO” video takes viewers on a tour of Drake’s opulent world, showcasing him dancing through his sprawling mansion and navigating the Toronto skyline in a lime green boat. Personal moments are also featured, including an intimate chat between his mother, Sandra “Icemom” Graham, and her best friends. Among the visual spectacles are shots of Drake brandishing a pair of $150,000 Iron Man suits, working out, and wearing a Brat tee, according to Pitchfork.

Musically, the project includes new songs and features. Collaborations with Don Toliver and Sexyy Red are present, alongside a reworked version of Ella Langley’s popular track “Choosin’ Texas.”

Drake’s Message and 2027 Tour Announcement

Ahead of the official release, Drake teased the film on social media with a blurry image and a lengthy message. He offered what he termed “some life advice,” stating: “Nobody is coming to save you. You must use each day to decipher who you love and trust and march forward with them.”

The rapper expressed his hope that “FOMO” would “serve as motivation to make that call, take that trip, drop that song, open that shop, see your parents, leave that relationship or stay in it forever, spend the bread, get some more etc.” He also used the opportunity to challenge perceptions within the industry, pushing back against the idea that “our genre is dying” and that videos “don’t matter,” asserting his continued passion: “I still care. As much as I did on the set of Best I Ever Had.”

In addition to the film’s debut, Drake announced at the “FOMO” premiere that he plans to embark on a tour in 2027, as reported by Pitchfork.

Background to the “FOMO” Project

Drake began hinting at the project last month, initially sharing family photos with the caption “FOMO 2026.” This was followed two weeks later by an image of a CD cover simply titled “Fear of Missing Out.” The day before the film’s release, he further teased the “not so short film” on social media.
